I learned in the book Living Color that the female parrot fish can change it's gender to a male if there are no male parrotfish around. Also, that the stonefish is the most poisonous fish in the world!

I've learned in my book A Golden Guide Mammals that the Northern Sea Lion weighs up to 1,700 pounds. Also that raccoons in length are 32 in. And I learned there are different types of weasels like the Short-tailed Weasel and the Long-tailed Weasel. As you see there are many things you can learn in non-fiction books weather it's biography, animal book, or an auto biography.

In the book "I Grew To Be President." I am learning how all the presidents came to be president. Also the author Laurie Calkhoven, wrote about the presidents childhood. I am learning so far how Abraham Lincoln became president, so I learned that Lincoln stashed his mail, his bankbook, and important papers in his stovepipe. Also I am learning the Lincoln has a young boy he split logs into rails to build fences. Lincoln was the United States 16th president, he was our president from 1861-1865. Lincoln, was born on February 12, 1809 In Hardin Country, KY and died on April 15, 1865, in Washington DC. Lincoln's vice president was 1st term Hannibal Hamlin, and 2nd term Andrew Johnson. I hope you get a chance to read this book.

My non fiction books are Bizarre Bug Records top 10 , and Now And Ben. Here's a fact from Bizarre Bug Records, The worlds largest wasp nest was eight feet around and weighed 17lbs 8 ounces!!!Also a elephant would have to carry 851 other elephants to beat the strength of a rhinoceros beetle. Here's something from Now and Ben, Benjamin Franklin invented the lightning rod. I have learned that many non fiction books fill many interests in readers. I love non fiction and I hope you do to.

I like reading expository nonfiction. In a book about weather called "Hurricanes Have Eyes But Can't See" I learned that on June 18, 1815, a thunder storm stopped Napoleon 's attack on the British so they were ready for the next time the the French attacked the British had more troops and won. Another thing I learned in May of 1881 that on a tornado off the coast of England sucked up hundreds of crabs, when the tornado slowed down it was raining crabs. I also learned that hurricane John lasted 29 days over the pacific ocean and hurricane Ginger lasted 20 days over the Atlantic

I am reading a book called "cold war pigeon patrols and other spy animals" its really cool what facts there are. My first fact is that there are pigeons called homing pigeons. Someone sends a homing pigeon with a note to someone and the person gets it and sends it back to where it came from. Amazing right?! There is one pigeon named Cher Ami which means "dear friends" in French. She brought a note to its destination even when she got shot. She saved 200 soldiers lives by bringing a note that wrote "we are on the road to parallel to 276.4. Our own artillery is dropping a barrage directly on us. for heavens sake stop it" wonder how a bird did that not a human? they trained these birds to save lives like that. My second fact is that they also trained peregrine falcons. By then the enemies had learned and trained homing pigeons too. so they had to stop the pigeons rom reaching its destination some way. So they trained the peregrine falcons to stop these birds. the peregrine falcons are fast flyers and divers. They hunted down the other sides homing pigeons by diving on them or simply bang into them for us to see. They went out in falcon teams with a two hour patrol. cool huh?! Well in this book its not all about bird spies and falcons but it has different animals too like gerbils, dogs, dolphins. Its a really good book if you want to learn about wars and what animals helped out and were secret spies.

In my book called, Two miserable Presidents. The story starts off in 1856 when Civil War started. It tells about why it started and what southerners and northerners did, some southerners actually wanted the war and of course a lot others didn't. Some northerners still wanted slavery as well. The book also talks about how slaves escaped or lived. Some slaves named, Fredrick Douglass and Harriet Tubman and other free slaves or sometimes even white people, all made there house's as under ground rail roads/ Under ground rail roads were-where slaves hid wile they were still trying to break free. So far its really good. If u like history:)

Enemies Of Slavery has many facts about presidents and protesters. It has many facts and tells real stories of how many people have fought for slavery and rights. One fact is that Harriet Tumbman saved many many people throgh the underground railroad. Also that Martin Luther king led many people in marches for slavery rights.

my non-fiction book is called What was pearl harbor. One of my interesting fact is that even though they were attacked the band that was playing that day never stopped playing because they were playing the national anthem but amazingly non of them got hit. My second one is that fifty-seven-year-old Admiral Yamamoto he was the master mind behind the attack on pearl harbor. He went to Harvard after he got out he was a japan official in Washington dc. But in 1941 he planned to attack pearl harbor but in 1943 he was tracked down and killed for the part that he played in the attack.

I am reading Moonshot by Brian Floca. It is a book about The flight of Apollo 11. In the book there is a diagram of all the parts of the ship, but I think it is a Narrative-Nonfiction book. I learned about the names of the ships like Eagle and Columbia. I also learned about how the got back in that little pod type thing. Moonshot is a very interesting book. I would have never known that there were actually 3 people on Apollo 11. I thought there was only 2 that were Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin b but there was also Michael Collins. This book was probably one of my All time favorite Nonfiction book.

The non-fiction book that I am reading is called ''All About Manatees'' by Jim Arnosky . This book is all about manatees! One thing I learned from this book is that ''An average fully grown manatee is 10 to 11 feet long and weighs more than 1,000 pounds'' which is from the text. Another thing I learned is that '' Underwater, manatee nostrils close tightly to prevent water from coming in'' I learned that from a caption! Those are some things I learned from ''All About Manatees''!

Hi, Im reading a book called Now & Ben. It is about what Ben invented and how it comes in handy now. For exp. He invented the ''grabber'' to get high books he couldn't reach. Now they use them to get stuff in grocery stores. Ben Franklin helped out a lot to help the world be a better place for all of us. Thank you for reading. Bye!

I am reading climate change by Peter Benoit. It talks about how climate change is bad for the world. Did you know that by 2080, one third of the worlds coastal wetlands will be underwater! Also, temperatures in Antarctica are raising twice as fast as in the rest of the world! If climate change continues to worsen, large storms could become more common! By 2050, climate change could cause the extinction of many kinds of frogs! Finally, heat waves in Los Angeles are expected to increase 400 to 800 percent in the next 100 years! Bye, hope you enjoy!

I learned that he faced Sonny "The bear" Liston who had a criminal record for the Heavyweight championship and Muhammad Ali got blinded because Liston put liniment on his gloves but Ali won round seven. When Ali was supposed to go into war he would not respond to his real name and that was considered a federal crime. Ali first loss was against Joe Frazier. later on in Ali's life he retired with 56 wins and 5 losses then later on Ali got Parkinson's Disease when his brain was damaged and not much facial expression. Then in 1996 Ali carried the torch for the Olympic games in Atlanta Georgia
