Some thing i dident know was that the pat when 12 and 4 and led the afc east with the most wins and that the steelers led there group to 11 and 5. So did the broncos, cowboys, packers, panthers and seahawks. But only 2 teams can go to the super bowl and those teams where the pats and the seahawks in the end the pats won 28 to 24.

So I read the book Guinness World Records Bizarre Bug Records , and my five favorite new facts that I learned are really cool , the coolest fact I learned was that the largest colony of ants is 3,700 miles long and the colony has tunneled through France , Italy , Spain , and Portugal. Another one of my favorite new facts is that the fastest caterpillar rolls away at 15 inches per every second , it's speed is equal to a car speed of 150 miles per hour. Another cool new fact I learned is that the oldest insect which is a beetle , one of the one of a kind beetle species one of the beetles was found on May 27 , 1983 and it has been living for 47 years as a larva. One cool new fact is that for the Most Expensive Insect page it says that the most expensive insect was $90,000 the same amount as a small home in Japan. The last cool fact I learned is it says the strongest insect which is the Rhinoceros beetle can lift 850 times of it's own weight which makes the Rhinoceros beetle the strongest insect.

I read "Who Is Jeff Kinney" and in it I learned that he had an opportunity to go to Villanova University in Pennsylvania BUT he would have to join the U.S military! He dissed NOT to go to the military so he could go to Villanova for free (I would have said yes). I also did not know that Jeff Kinney had wife then got divorced. Then he got married again and had two children! Then became a really rich man off of "Diary of a wimpy kid" and made over $22 million including the three movies of diary of a wimpy kid 1,2,and 3 and many books after that and got that much money! I also found out that Jeff Kinney also had a small job as a computer programmer and made some games on "Fun brain" including "ball hogs" (which has to do with you being the hogs and you have to figure out math problems so you can get the tennis balls) and a game ( Not on fun brain) called Poptropica which has these islands and you go in space, go to a jungle to find things like big foot and the loch ness monster in some islands you can find Greg and Rodrick Including Big Nate if you look very closely. Well that's what I learned! But what did you learn?

What I learned from my book Birds the text said "there are more than 9,000 species of birds." It also said that"birds are the perfect flying machines" what I got out of that was that birds bodies are made to fly. Also I learned that birds have very strong chest muscles here is what the text said "Birds have very large chest muscles." I look forward to learning more about birds!

What I learned from "Hurricanes have eyes but cant see" is that the deadliest rainstorm to ever occur was in the year of 1856. On page 13, it said "Lightning struck a building filled with gunpowder on the island of Rhodes. The powerful blast killed 4,000 people." Wow! I never knew that could happen! I'm amazed that they didn't teach this to me in school. Another thing I learned about was Ray Sullivan. On page 13, it says "Ray Sullivan, a forest ranger, was struck an amazing seven times between 1942 and 1977. He survived all seven streaks." Isn't that miraculous? Your chances of being stuck by lightning once are very small, but seven times? Wow, that's amazing!

The Nonfiction book that I read was “The Dreadful, Smelly Colonies.” In the book it had facts about how the first settlers had to live. Some of the diseases where Smallpox, Yellow fever, and Diphtheria. Yellow Fever was a disease that spread by mosquitoes, it caused high fever and DEATH. “Smallpox” When you hear Smallpox you probably think it’s just an old way of saying I have chickenpox, Think again, smallpox was one of the most deadly diseases in all of the american colonies what would happen first is you would have three or four days of fever then blisters would break out all over the body. Then skin fell away and colonists DIED in pain. The other disease diphtheria was a deadly lung disease that killed many. There is also some uncommon cures for some not so life threatening illnesses. To cure toothaches colonial doctors used a mixture of butter and GUNPOWDER really who wants to be a human BOMB certainly not me!!! The cures doctors created for Frozen Limbs was a lotion made of soap, salt, and molasses or you can just use cow dung (poop) boiled in milk EWW. You also get no privacy in the privy(Bathroom) and people dump their doo doo out the window after saying watch out below like what if someone said wait but then splash poo on your head and one other thing colonists believed water could give them disease so they didn’t bathe imagine it walking around with poop on your head eww. there is way more gross stuff I could write about but it is a long book about one of my favorite things so that is good.

The Nonfiction book that i read was "The Dreadful,Smelly Colonies". And one chapter i read was called "Bad medicine" and in the chapter there was a note that said"uncommon cures" and in that note there was many different cures such as for a "Toothache,do the following add butter to gunpowder and rub the jaw with it. With frozen limbs, make a lotion of salt, soap and molasses or use cow dung in boiled milk. Colonist battled new diseases like Smallpox, diphtheria and yellow fever, killed thousands of colonist.small pox killed Native Americans and Colonist. Some doctors tried bleeding them to cure them (I just think that is crazy) also doctors thought back then "The stronger the smell the better the medicine.". Just think you should be happy of what you have right now! now look back at the colonist think you have a comfy cozy bathroom and now look back there was no "comfy bathrooms" or EVEN TOILET PAPER! In fact they didn't have any toilet paper they had to use corn cobs to wipe them self's and they didn't have a garbage man come around every week and pick up there garbage in fact they had a so called "pit" that was downhill from there houses and they would just through away all of there rubbish down there and over the pit was an outhouse.

I learned that in the Holocaust Jews only get a piece of bread each day. It says, "The Nazis only give us one chunk of bread a day". I also learned that during a death march if you stop at all you get shot on the spot. Some people also play dead. I know that they get shot on the spot because it says, "If the Nazis catch you not walking, you get shot". I know that people play dead because it says, "Maybe if I fall down into the snow, I won't get shot because they'll think i'm dead!".
